Welcome!
We are a very young cattery grateful to have been given the chance to begin with some wonderful examples of the Maine Coon breed. Our name and prefix of 'Dorothea' originates from ancient Greek and means 'gift of God' - and aren't they just! We have chosen this name to honour the creator of these lovely creatures (and of us, naturally). The choice of breeding Maine Coons also was not a casual one, as these cats don't just have pretty faces, they are also intelligent, gentle and affectionate. We looked hard for a breed which would well suit children, and indeed many would say these are the ideal family pets. Our cats enjoy cuddles, being carried and snoozing on our laps. We are soon to start showing our queens, so check back!

Studs
Noracoon Little Britten (home name: Alessio)
Alessio is son to gorgeous UK Grand Champion Verismo Britannicus of Philippa Holmes. Thank you Philippa for entrusting us with this lovely boy. We will enjoy seeing him grow and display more and more of his dad's traits. He is an exemplar to this breed: softly coloured with a beautiful pattern, and posessing a lovely muzzle and tall ears. Alessio has a fantastic personality, he is very confident, relaxed yet playful. He likes laying next to me and places his paws on my hand or face when he wants some attention. A true delight.

Queens
Dotcom Maigigi (home name: Gigia)
Gigia is a big girl of a beautiful blue with tall ears and a gorgeous long, full tail. Very affectionate, she likes to jump unexpectedly onto my shoulder (ouch!), being carried around and talked to. She really makes you feel missed if you are not around her for more than a few hours.

Coonaria Thea (home name: Thea)
As can be clearly seen, Thea is very pretty, but her most special aspect is personality: she is a true 'lap cat'. She is very easy going and nothing in this world would worry her. And she loves to play the piano, as you can see from her photos! She is protective of her little blanket and her favourite furry toy. Thea has produced large and beautiful kittens to whom she has passed her affectionate and extraordinarily gentle temperament, not to mention her gorgeous ears.

GB*Kagoza Enya (home name: Lupetta)
Very muscular, and with the most gorgeous colouring, Lupetta (meaning 'wolf cub' in Italian) is quite a character. She is witty with a strong spirit of exploration, and not to mention very vocal. When we hear a crashing sound from the room next door we know Lupetta has something to do with it! She likes to climb the highest child's toy shelf to retrieve the toy she fancies, unphased by any manoevering challenges on the way down! She is the boss and made this clear very early on, yet she is the most gentle with us and her fellow felines alike.

Dorothea Ilaria (home name: Ilaria)
Ilaria is a brown tortie, daughter of gorgeous Gr Ch Kaiulani Jakatta Jackson of Sue Dean and of our own Thea. Both parents have particularly gentle personalities which have been passed to Ilaria. Ilaria has also taken many other good characteristics of her parents such as a smashing set of ears, a lovely muzzle and a full long tail. She is a big girl, her coat has wonderful warm colours and is particularly silky and soft. We are looking forward to mate her with Alessio (Noracoon Little Britten) so watch this space.
